This week the boys are talking about, what I would call a lesser known director. One who has the prowess to go toe to toe with the likes of Tarantino and Fincher, but you might not be familiar with most of their works, with the exception of maybe one or two movies.
None-the-less, this was such a fun episode to record and had some really unique, challenging, and rewarding movies to dig into.
Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you, the one and only: Paul Thomas Anderson
Easily one of the, if not THE most influential voice in the 21st Century comedy scene. He practically invented what we now know as the "Late Night Raunchy Comedy". Not only did Judd Apatow write and director some iconic comedies, he discovered so many household names that we know and love today such as Seth Rogen. Along with his work as a director/writer, Judd Apatow has produced some of the finest comedies and has given many up and coming comedies a platform to share their work with the world.
Hey folks! Today, Jack and Dylan are tackling their first production studio, Pixar!
If you have listened before than you for sure have heard the boys sing the praises of the animation giant.
