The team at Sproing has defied the odds and the limited population that Vernon offers to become host to a wide array of both big and small businesses looking to stand out amongst the crowd and has been having a blast doing so. They are an awesome team of diverse talent, busy serving clients whilst constantly looking for the next way to level up their client experience.

Heath is a partner at Sproing, and is also known as the 'Director of Possibilities'. He is the ideas guy, the big thinking creative that is fundamental to the companies vision to do better and do more. Specializing in both photography and video production, Heath is an insanely fun dude and is particularly relaxing to be around. There's little doubt as to why he is so successful in his chosen field and we're stoked to have him here.

This conversation is about more than just the fine line between creativity and business proficiency. It is about modest beginnings and the value of family. It is about the importance of following your entrepreneurial spirit even when you have to reject conventional educational wisdom to do so. It is about fun and genuine authenticity. Oh yes... and it is also about Star Wars.

Ranvir Nahal is a man on a mission. In a landscape of 'spec' homes largely in the craftsman style, he dreamed of building a unique product with elegance, personality and beauty in mind. Ranvir came from humble roots, working in the local sawmill to begin his working career; all while making connections and then eventually becoming involved in the ever-competitive home construction industry. Enter Sunterra Custom Homes, a home building company that specializes in the West Coast Contemporary style. With clean lines, maximization of landscape views and plenty of room to accommodate the Okanagan lifestyle, the West Coast Contemporary style is one that screams refinement. While many people told Ranvir that he would never make it unless he constructed a mix of this style and those of the prevailing tradition, he went against the grain and created his own market. Business has been booming! You can now find many of his collaborative works along the lake, claiming some of the most beautiful shoreline landscapes this region has to offer.

Ranvir is also a part of Saath Development Corporation, a related company that specializes in affordable yet modern strata development. This company helps to reinforce Ranvir's desire to show the Okanagan that sophistication does not need to be limited to the region's nobility.

Ranvir is an active member of the community as well, regularly giving back to it. He plays an integral role in the annual 'Bollywood Bang' fundraiser that has raised over $250,000 for a variety of local charities.

In today's episode we delve into the beautiful mind of Naturopathic Doctor Shelby Etner. Shelby is the Owner of Vero Health here in Vernon, BC. A go-getter from a young age, Shelby decided to leave the small town she grew up in to pursue a professional career. She enrolled at UBC with the original intention to practice law, a goal that would soon change. Shelby quickly found the workload to be devastating to her personal health and in the process she experienced a "paradigm shift" that drew her to naturopathic medicine. In suffering, she found new beauty. Shelby set up shop in the Okanagan, and was responsible for creating the largest natural health clinic in the Okanagan which was named Okanagan Natural Medicine. She then decided to sharpen her focus by opening up Vero Health. What started as a small clinic grew quickly, leading Shelby to take on more of a managerial role in her business. While providing care gave her much happiness, it wasn't enough. Shelby decided to "positively downsize" to the location she is in now. She is here to prove to the world that sometimes the key to creating a sustainable business is downsizing to fit your lifestyle and most important goals, and that growth happens in more ways than just the size of your business or the numbers on your bottom line. She is now fully patient-focused in her current practice. Shelby provides us so much wisdom in this episode, from detailing her family life all the way to some "do's and don'ts" of nutrition. She is a health superwoman!

Dave is a longtime Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who planted his roots in the sport during the very beginning of it’s inception in the province of BC. Until then, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was a sport only beginning to become popularized in southern US states as prolific Brazilians started moving north to start businesses and spread their knowledge. Dave is a part of the original crew in BC and has been actively teaching and competing internationally ever since. He is a World Champion, and has fought some of the sports most prolific fighters such as Fabio Gurgel and Saulo Ribeiro. With various accolades, his focus has turned almost exclusively to training and building a team with other like-minded practitioners. Thus, Pacific Top Team was born several years ago and has been growing ever since. In this episode, we explore the martial arts lifestyle and how it can help us in other areas of our life. Dave is an example of how getting your ego in check renders peaceful results, allowing us to fight our way towards a positive and fulfilling life.
