A Hollywood actor shadows a female Harvard professor for research on a role. When the two are presumed to be “dating” by the press, they go along with it. He to bolster his image, she to bolster her fledgling book sales. But what happens when a fake romance turns into the real thing?
Howdy everyone! This is Jade (I wrote and created and produced the show) and I wanted to tell you that I am doing writer commentaries of every Small Victories Season 2 episode over on the WGC Productions Patreon, and ever though the rest of the episodes are Patreon exclusives, the first episode gets to go out into the world like a Disney Princess in the second act of the movie.
New episodes are out every Friday at 10AM EST and our Patreon is pay what you can so whether you pay $1 or $100 you will get access to the same exclusive content, because everyone deserves to be entertained. Your payments go to our operational costs as well as funding Small Victories Season 3.
This week's Audio Drama Spotlight is The Heart Pyre. The Heart Pyre is an interactive epic fantasy audio drama where listeners can help decide how Rena’s journey to find out what truly happened to her home town plays out. As she finds herself the only survivor of the fire that destroyed her town, she comes to doubt the Royal Council’s report that the event was simply a tragic accident. What are the authorities hiding? Is she truly the only survivor? And why are there rumours about the old Gods again?
The Heart Pyre is written and produced by Audrey Martin. The intro song is Lonely Dusty Trail by Jon Presstone.
This audio drama spotlight features Visionaries, which is perfect for you if you are looking for that next high-concept fantasy show.
In 2185, the world is distinguished by two races: The Dead-eyes and the Visionaries. Visionaries are the next step in human evolution. They are born with unique eyes, giving them superhuman abilities. However, some humans do not evolve. Those who don't evolve are born with ordinary eyes, also known as Dead-eyes. The disparity in power leads to the enslavement of all Dead-eyes. Listen to season one wherever you get your podcasts and follow the Dead-eye slaves' rebellion against the Visionaries.
Connor Ratliff (creator of “Dead Eyes”) stars as Gil, a low-level ad man who is fated to lose at everything. When Nadya (Jamie Ann Romero), the beautiful niece of the psychic Bella (Laila Robins), reads his tarot cards and informs him that the universe is against him, he vows to change his destiny. Cheered on by his co-worker and best friend Lex (Steven Boyer), Gil studies philosophy under Professor Towers (Chukwudi Iwuji) and faces an epic showdown with supernatural forces. “In The Cards” is produced by Next Chapter Podcasts and is made possible by the generous support of The Hitz Foundation. Visit ncpodcasts.com for more about the series.
