Josef Werker is a fascinating human being.
Aside from just being a super talented leader of two start-ups, he remains to be an authentic, passionate and down-to-Earth guy. He is truly inspiring.
Listen in as he shares his story before his life in the Philippines (including a VERY embarrassing experience that turned his life around), as well as his journey towards ultimately founding Humble Sustainability, a start-up championing circular living, decluttering one home or workplace at a time.
I would typically end an episode with some insights or leadership lessons, but Josef dropped tons of wisdom bombs that make it a compelling episode in itself. Hope you stick around till the end -- I promise it’s totally worth it!
This interview was recorded on June 10, 2021. He would eventually become the grand winner for the Global Young Leader of the Year, as well as being named on the Circle of Excellence for the Entrepreneur of the Year during ASIA CEO Awards held in October 2021.

Coming back from my hiatus, I'm featuring Dr. Elaine Reyes-Madamba, Pediatrician, medical school professor, mentor and a dear college friend of mine. Elaine is an Assistant Training Officer, Pediatrics, at the Perpetual Help Medical Center in Las Pinas and a "Reach Out & Read" advocate. She's a homeschooling mom of 3 be-dimpled girls and a lockdown convert of crossfit and baking!
We're taking a pause on the topic of entrepreneurship and will be tackling a relevant and timely topic. We all know how tough the lockdowns can be --both on our wellbeing and mental health. But as a parent, uncle or aunt, big sister or brother or guardian, maybe you've wondered how this pandemic has affected the lives and the development of the children in our care.
Are they at risk? How can we help? All this and more on this exciting new episode.
Super thrilled to have sat down with Kass Monzon - the brilliant and ridiculously charming CEO and co-founder of Workbean.co.
Listening to her backstory... I just couldn't help but be reminded that your past failures can actually become your strengths if you choose to. So I urge you to hear her sharing about her rise to the corporate ladder in Asia, and leading up to the start of Workbean -- an employer branding platform whose mission is to help companies bring their culture come to life and "woke" job seekers find the right environment where they can thrive!
We touched the topic of BRANDING heavily and Kass dropped tons of wisdom bombs so be prepared to write down notes!

This guy Kio Serrano is such an interesting personality. Aside from his wit, he's driven to make a better world through fitness.
He used his dissatisfaction in how traditional gyms and health clubs operate so he created his own fitness services company - Fitness on the Go (FOGO). Listen to him as he shares his startup story, his insights and the lessons he learned in doing business. He juggles between his full-time job and his side hustles so I personally recommend this to those who think it can't be done!
After our conversation, I couldn't help but ponder upon the topic of building teams... I know there's a lot to unpack here (reserving for future episodes!) but wanted to share my initial thoughts on this and hopefully it convinces you to act on it.

Meet Alvin Villegas, the founder and CEO of Keri, the all-Filipino delivery app which was launched at the height of the pandemic.

Listen to his story about his failures in his early career and life lessons he picked up along the way. As a bonus, learn how he boldly started Keri during one of the seemingly worst times in business.
Lastly, hear me speak briefly on my thoughts on organizational agility and how you can improve it within your teams and businesses.
