Hello everyone! I am back with season two of my podcast. Like all good things evolve and change, my podcast has too. I am calling this season "Smart Finances", and I am dedicating this show to all the hard-working and high achieving moms who are struggling to figure out how to stop stressing about life and start enjoying it more.

I have learned that the more financial freedom you have, the more opportunities that come along to design on purpose a life you love. So, join me as I share with you the challenges, mistakes, successes, and opportunities I have faced as I document my journey to financial freedom.

As of today, my only debt is my house, but as you will find out, 10 years ago our situation was quite different. Our income had gone down by 65%. We were struggling to survive the greatest financial crisis in modern history. Somehow we made it through that painful, shameful, and dark time.

My goal is to share with you our mistakes and successes to avoid you the pain of going through a financial crisis, or to help you get out of one if you are, like we were, in the financial hole.

Can you have a good credit score without being in debt? Most people preach that to maintain a good credit score you must have a few credit cards. You also need a couple of loans that are reported to the credit bureaus.

It is also known that to keep a good credit score you should always pay your bills on time. But what if you don’t want to have any debt? Is it still possible to have a good credit score?

I haven’t used a credit card in the last two years, own my car outright, and have no open lines of credit other than my mortgage. So, I started to wonder… Does this mean that I might have a bad credit score?

Well, out of curiosity I decided to check. It is an understatement to say that I was SO SHOCKED by what I found! As a result, I went on a rant that became Take 25 of my podcast.

Hello everyone! Welcome to Take 24: Do you Have a Catastrophic Mindset?

What do I mean by that? Let’s see.. Are you always thinking worst case scenario instead of positive thoughts?

That is one of my problems. I tend to be really harsh on myself when things don’t go the way I envisioned them or planned for. For some reason, we have this bad habit of setting arbitrary expectations of ourselves. When things turn out differently it is easy to feel disappointed and want to give up.

Why do we do this? I believe a lot has to do with self-doubt and the comparison game. You can check out my post on “3 Simple Ways to Overcome Self-Doubt” to learn how I am dealing with this issue.
