That is why I select LaVeta to talk about not only the film but also her experience as the master martial arts instructor at her school, Storms of Defense.
Creating Sanctuaries is the theme for this month and human trafficking is widespread and women especially need to know the dangers and how they can easily be targeted, abused, and killed. Creating Sanctuaries continues the conversation about Domestic Violence and Abuse Awareness. Deborah talks about her experiences with domestic violence in multiple marriages and how she has learned to create a sanctuary to keep her mind at ease and focused on her daily life.
She admits without the Lord's loving guidance, mercy, and grace, she does not know what her life would be like today. She truly likes who she is and what she has become despite the abuse she experienced as a child and married woman.
