The first most important thing will be to focus on your successes instead of your failures, but what we can learn from our failures needs to come with self-compassion, patience, practice

comparisons are usually negative and demotivating, so we need to become aware of them and avoid them. other people lead other lives, and we need to make our own unique goals and habits regardless of other people in different situations. HOWEVER, comparisons to role models and positive friends can be incredibly motivating and inspiring the changes you know are good for you. 

discussing why happiness and positivity is at the root of new habits and behavior change. we've evolved NEGATIVE EMOTIONS to stay alive, but once we get past that and life is not threatened, negative emotions hold us back... so how can we find and use positive emotions instead?? 

Chasing the sweetness of success can motivate us to conquer harder and harder challenges. Allow yourself to become addicted to the process, the journey, the grind of hard work to achieving something difficult and meaningful.
