Who’s Walking Whom – Is it You or Your Clients?

Every morning for the last ten years, whether it’s sunny outside, raining, snowing or a threat of severe thunderstorms, I’ve faithfully been on the dumb end of a dog leash following my longtime best friend Sparky. I used to believe it was me taking him for our daily walk until one day, probably several years into the routine, it dawned on me that it’s not me taking him for a walk as much as it’s him taking me for the walk. I’m guessing the real moment of awakening came when I realized that Sparky mostly decides on our specific route for each day while I obediently follow behind begrudgingly picking up after him. At least I’ve come to terms with knowing exactly what my role is when it comes to walking (or being walked) my dog; Sparky’s in charge, not me. But who’s walking whom in your real estate business?
