Early in the morning on Monday, May 20, Grand Ronde Police Officer James (JJ) Flynn responded to a call regarding a hostage situation in Sheridan, Ore. Safely removing the victim from the scene required an act of bravery, which Flynn didn't hesitate to demonstrate. His action is now being recognized by the Oregon Peace Officers Association with the Medal of Valor Award. However, this award is recognizing more than just Flynn. Listen to the podcast to hear more.
