How do you leave a legacy behind and why would you want to do so?
So much have been said about leaving a legacy, but not a whole lot has been said about what a legacy is. Would you agree with this statement?
Agree or not, you are a recipient of some kind of legacy based upon the following definition from Merriam Webster dictionary.
Legacy: something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past
How are you intentionally seeking to leave a legacy behind? Who would benefit from such?
In this episode, you will hear Dr. Richard Shuster talks about why leaving a legacy is important and what was it that brought him to this conclusion.
Not many people are able to overcome adversities. On the contrary, they are more apt to be overcome by it.
It's sometimes hard to tell who is going through times of adversity. Many people do a great job in covering up. They hide it so well.
It has become so much easier to cover up in our current world where technology has never been easier to access. People will show us what they want us to see and tell us what they want us to hear.
It's difficult to know what is real and what is not.
In this episode, you will hear me talk about what I'm doing in overcoming adversities. Every one of us has experienced adversity. Every person you meet is going through, have gone through or will soon be going through some form of adversity. It is one of the certainties of life. It just cannot be escaped.
One of the hallmarks of a successful transition to a new career is having adequate cash flow.
You could say cash flow is king.
It's very difficult to remain active in business when cash flow is tight.
I've found this to be true.
When there aren't enough cash flow, anxiety and desperation sets in. It affects your outlook on life.
One of the most impactful things that come as a result of limited cash flow is the resurgence of a scarcity mindset.
In this episode, our guest Benjamin Tyler talks about making fast cash for your business and/or career transition.
What do you believe about yourself, others, the world, and God?
It's important that you are clear on this because your beliefs shape your behavior in both a positive and a negative way.
Have you ever wondered why you feel stuck in your life? If you honestly traced the origin of your feelings you'll find that it stems from your beliefs.
In this episode, we'll explore how these beliefs are formed, the impact they have on your life, and how to debunk and/or dispute them so that they no longer play such a significant role in your life.
To Create The Right Story For A Successful Career Change can be challenging. The question that precedes this idea is why do we need to create a right story when considering or pursuing a career change.
Most times we need others to help us move things along when we are in the midst of any kind of change much less a career change. We simply need help. I know I do. It's difficult trying to do it by yourself.
Hence the need to make sure your career change story consists of these 3 ingredients. 1. Relatability 2. Portability 3. Repeatability
Discover how they are applicable to you.
In this episode, our guest Damion Lupo shares how you can change your life and your career if you are willing to make a radical shift.
There are a number of insightful points he made that will cause you to take a pause in your life. He challenges us to look at life through various lenses.
A couple of the lenses are: 1) his father's last words before he died 2) losing millions of dollars in real estate 3) having a drastic cut in his income overnight and much more.
In this episode, our guest David Barnett shared the following insights as well as his story of how he got into consulting and the twists and turns it took to get him there.
You will discover that his story could be your story.
He challenges us to be openly honest with ourselves if we are going to become successful in our journey.
Here are some highlights of what I gleaned from the interview:

The path from failure to success is sometimes over-reported. The missing part is the story of how failure can be seen as Success Wrapped In Overalls.change their careers so often.
When I envision someone in overalls, I'm seeing a blue-collar worker working in a factory environment. The most image that readily comes to my mind is that of a car assembly workers clothed in a specialized jumpsuit or overalls. They are committed to getting a job done, which for them is a measurement of success.
Along the way, they experience both positive and negative experiences. The negative experiences could be seen as failures. But because they are committed to a mission of completing these cars, they learn from these experiences and forge ahead to create a finished product. These people are working change their careers so often.
Each negative experience becomes a learning rather than a failing experience. These people work hard at going after the end result.
So it is with yours and my setbacks that could derail us if we let it.
In this episode, I share how many times we miss or may miss a much-needed piece of our entrepreneur success journey because we fail to see our failure as success wrapped in overalls.
Most times the conversation around changing career is based upon a job change.
When that happens, very rarely is there a conversation about personal branding. It's as if these two ideas are totally independent of each other. This may explain why people change their careers so often.
In this episode, I share 11 Personal Branding Attributes that are explicitly linked to a Career Change especially when that change is entrepreneurial in nature.
