This latest episode of the Smooth Honey Bear Blues showcases that little old band from Texas, ZZ Top. It consist of three of their early albums; Rio Grande Mud, Tres Hombres and DeGuello.

This Episode of the Smooth Honey Bear Blues presents music conceived in 1966 and brought to life in 1992. The music of the Rising Sons that featured Taj Mahal and Ry Cooder, along with band mates Jesse Lee Kincaid, Gary Marker and Kevin Kelley. The rest of the time is filled with blues tunes from Bo Diddley, Dr. John and Billie Holiday to name a few of the artists.

This episode spins tracks from Joyful Noise a solo project by Derek Trucks (time between the Allman Brothers Band and Tedeschi Trucks). Also a "Live" recording of Omar and the Howlers captured in October 2005 in Germany.
