Kicking off De Palma December we are joined by Luke Larson, host of the L2 Podcast, to discuss the 1998 Nicolas Cage lead film, Snake Eyes! We take a look back at this political, murder mystery thriller co-starring Gary Sinise, John Heard, and Carla Gugino. This is the first of five episodes in our month long exploration of Director Brian De Palma’s filmography.

Shady Atlantic City police detective Rick Santoro (Cage) is attending a big money boxing match alongside longtime friend Commander Kevin Dunne (Sinise). Also at the fight is Secretary of Defense, but when an assassination plot is uncovered by Santoro and Dunne, Dunne investigates leading to the death of the Secretary. Santoro begins to unravel new clues about the plot to murder the Secretary of Defense, including a mysterious woman (Gugino) wearing a blonde wig and speaking with the Secretary before his death. What the AC detective doesn’t know is that fight night may be much bigger than he ever expected.
