A survey has some pretty sad news when it comes to women and tire knowledge.
• One in three women don’t know how to change a flat tire — only 4% of men don’t know how.
• 4% of women don’t know where the spare tire is located.
• 33% of women call their significant other after getting a flat tire before calling a tow service — 73% of men change their own tires.
• More than half of women never check the condition of their spare tire, or the tread on their other tires.
• 22% of women said they had no idea how to find out the pressure in their tires.
WACKY-BUT-TRUE: PAKISTAN GROUNDS THIRD OF PILOTS FOR HAVING FAKE LICENSES _ Having a fake driver’s license is bad, but it’s not likely the driver could kill hundreds of people with one wrong move. Pakistan’s national airline has grounded almost a third of its pilots after a government investigation revealed that hundreds across the country had fake licenses and were not qualified to fly.
… In a letter to the government Friday, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) said 141 of its 450 pilots will not be “utilized for any flying duties” as they had “suspicious licenses.”
WACKY-BUT-TRUE: WISCONSIN FAMILY SAVES BEAR SWIMMING WITH HEAD STUCK IN BIN _ Tricia and Brian Hurt and their son Brady were fishing on a lake in western Wisconsin’s Chippewa County the other day when they came across what they first thought was a swimming dog. They soon realized, though, that it was a young bear with a clear plastic cheese ball container stuck on its head. Their first attempt to pull the tub off the bear’s head failed, but another try was successful. • VIDEO
WACKY-BUT-TRUE: DOORBELL CAMERA CATCHES PARKING LOT BIRTH IN FLORIDA _ A Florida birthing center (in Margate) says an expectant mother was a few steps from entering the building but her baby couldn’t wait. She gave birth while standing up outside, with a midwife catching the baby and a doorbell camera catching all the action. Both baby and mother are doing fine.
WACKY-BUT-TRUE: BURGLARS JUMP BADLY _ In Spain two men were arrested for burglary by officers responding to an emergency call. The suspects’ getaway ended abruptly when, as they leaped off of a low balcony, the 17-year-old landed on top of the 22-year-old and suffered a badly sprained ankle, while leaving his colleague with a fractured skull, broken ribs, a broken collarbone, and a collapsed lung.
WACKY-BUT-TRUE: COUPLE DONATES 13-FOOT PYTHON TO ZOO _ An elderly couple in China donated their Burmese python snake to a zoo. The couple said the 13-foot snake became too heavy to carry on walks. The couple used to take the 110-pound snake on daily walks using a customized cart.
WOMAN WITH TWO WOMBS CARRYING A TWIN IN EACH -It’s enough of a shock to find you are pregnant with twins. It’s an even greater shock to find you are carrying twins in two different uteruses. That happened recently to a British woman. When Kelly Fairhurst went for her 12-week scan she learned she had uterus didelphys, a condition where a woman has two wombs. She was also told she was carrying twins, one in each womb. Fairhurst, who was also surprised to be told she had two cervixes, already has two daughters, ages three and four.
