Philadelphia took their offense to a whole different level. They kept the ball inside the park to beat the Giants four games in a row. Basically, the whole offense contribute to the small ball type offense and that makes this offense so dangerous. The Phillies outfielders Marsh, Rojas, and Castellanos took their defense to another level. The pitching was spectacular from Nola, Wheeler, and
Snake's Chat discussed with you the details of why the Safety and the linebacker position shouldn't be a weakness of the Philadelphia Eagles team moving forward this season. Then I broke down why Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown are real contenders to be a top 5 passing duo this season and I also gave my reason of why they are number 5 and not higher on the list. Is DE Derek Barnett worth a second-round pick if Philadelphia decides to unload the struggling d-lineman? If he wants to be a starter somewhere else that pick is fair. I think Josh Sweat will have a bigger role this season if Barnett gets traded. I explained my reason in the episode.
I went more in-depth into how Carlos Alcaraz beat out Novak Djokovic in Wimbledon to take over the number one ranking spot. In my opinion, the Sixers do not have the right pieces around Joel Embiid to continue building around the superstar center. Tear it down and build around Tyrese Maxey! The signings of centers Mo Bamba and Montrezl Harrell prove that it could be the end of Joel Embiid.
I broke down why the Eagles are better at closing-away opposing teams late in games than the Buffalo Bills. Philadelphia is slightly better at shutting down running backs than the Bills. I analyzed why the Jets and the Vikings both secured a win against Buffalo. I also stated why the Eagles have a difficult schedule in terms of dealing with tough running backs like Dalvin Cook, Jonathan Taylor, Saquan Barkley, Tony Pollard, Zeke Elliot, Derick Henry, Aaron Jones, AJ Dillion, Alvin Kamara this season. Philadelphia lost against the Blue Jackets, Senators, and Stars the last few days but they also showed promise from the top line in Kevin Hayes, Travis Konecny, and Owen Tippett. When these guys are on the same shift they create so many open opportunities to score.
In my own belief, the Sixers did make a huge mistake letting Jimmy Butler walk into free agency two years ago. I broke down why Philadelphia lost 99 to 90 in game 6. Also, I did my own analysis on what Daryl Morey had said about bringing back Doc Rivers for the third season and how Morey could move Tobias Harris or another player to acquire a star player. Yes, Jimmy Butler is playing out of his mind in this postseason but another player that has that same dog mentality personality is Washington's guard Bradley Beal who can potentially be in a Sixers uniform sooner than later. For the Philadelphia Eagles, Howie Roseman is just building a winning team after landing CB James Bradberry in free agency on a one-year deal, 10 million. I think this move was something Philadelphia needed to address and Roseman got it done to fill that hole in the secondary department. Now I understand Marcus Epps could be a sleeper to start in the safety position but if Howie Roseman wants to really impress the people from the Philly area, the birds need to trade for star safety from the Bengals Jesse Bates III who is just a monster attacking opponents in the midfield location. Cincinnati and Bates III are in a disagreement on contract talks. It sounds like the safety doesn't even want to play on the franchise tag and when a player is being asked to play on that type of deal that team may not believe in that player's ability to play for them. #sixers67 #eagles67
Snakes Chat broke down why Nikola Jokic shouldn't have won MVP and how Joel Embiid should have taken home that award. The two centers completely have different playing styles but the major reason why Embiid is so good is how he energies the whole team to rally behind him to win and the defensive machine Embiid to shut down Miami's guard Tyler Herro. I explained that the Sixers are hurting after game five because James Harden, Tobias Harris, and Tyrese Maxey struggled in their strengths in Miami and that is why Philadelphia lost that game. The Flyers landed the 5th overall pick in the lottery draft and the center from the Western Hockey League is going to be a special player in the NHL if he gets developed the correct way. His puck control and the way he escapes a turnover in tight situations is something Philadelphia should reserve a reservation on Conor Geekie for the draft. Also, I did an analysis on the Morgan Frost, Owen Tippett, and the Noah Cates line to break down how special this line could be next season. #sixers67 #flyers68
The Sixers' issues are all over the court, Philadelphia is fouling at the wrong time, and Rivers is putting guys in who can't play the game of basketball such as DeAndre Jordon, and Furkan Korkmaz, and expect those guys to defeat players like Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro. That's a huge mistake by Rivers and I understand that this coach doesn't have consistent players on the bench at the moment, but to me, that is the biggest lame excuse simply because Doc Rivers has experience in the playoffs. Do you think if Rivers is so decorated as a coach why is he not rounding the troops to play past their level of play this time around? Yes! On the offensive side of the ball, I have no idea what Doc Rivers is drawing up, his plays look disorganized and that is why this team is failing every night against Miami. Here comes Howie Roseman! This guy stole the show once again in the undrafted category but also throughout the whole draft. I analyzed all of his picks including Jordan Davis, a trade for AJ Brown who we give up the 18th overall pick, and a late rounder in this past draft. I broke down the rest of the picks such as telling why the Cam Jurgens pick could have been a bad pick for some people because of the lack of talent in the safety position but this center from Nebraska is just a rare player. He can block very well everywhere he is on the field. Cam Jurgens can also create open gaps when he is playing center or the guard spot. Yes, he is that good of an o-lineman. #sixers67 #eagles67
I do not feel confident in the Sixers at this very moment before they play Toronto this weekend and next week. I broke down the games Doc Rivers lost the Sixers a win in the defensive side of the zone. I explained why James Harden is struggling to find his shot on the offensive side in the zone. On the other hand, the Philadelphia Phillies showed promise against the A's. The pitching and hitting were complementing each other. Facing the New York Mets was a different story. The hitters for this Philadelphia team were swinging at pitches that weren't necessary to hit. They were swinging and missing a nasty breaking ball in the dirt in the middle of the plate. The pitchers kept on throwing and locating a nasty slider/curveball that showed movement on the left side of the plate at the end of each throw. A huge problem for the Phillies but it is good to see these issues early on now and not late into the season.
The Philadelphia Eagles just acquired the future from the Saints a few days ago. The Eagles gave up their 16th, 19th overall pick, and a sixth-rounder for New Orleans' 18th overall pick, a third, and a 7th rounder back to Philadelphia. The Saints also sent a 2023 first-rounder and a 2024 second-rounder in part of that trade. For the first round, I would like the Eagles to draft an offensive player and a defensive player. For the third round, I like the Eagles to draft a guard out of Oklahoma. His name is Tyrese Robinson and I broke down the strength he has in that position. For the Phillies in my opinion Gregorius is blocking Stott's opportunity at shortstop. I discussed how the Phillies are making a huge mistake keeping Didi. I broke down what the Phillies have to do to succeed in today's home opener against the Oakland A's at 3:05 The X factor for the Phillies is Aaron Nola who is pitching in his fifth home opener and I don't feel comfortable in Nola. I gave my own analysis of why I am feeling not great about pitcher Aaron Nola.
