Black Panther is not a purrfect movie, but it certainly has a lot going on. In fact, we barely scratch the surface of all the themes and ideas that are littered throughout the film. It often gave us paws to take on this daunting task. But we got through it and you can listen to us right meow.

But really, Black Panther exists as both a solid superhero popcorn movie while also delivering a level of social commentary that doesn’t really exist in mainstream superhero blockbusters. It may not always land on all fours (sorry, last one) but it takes a big step in the right direction. Plus, it gives us a lot to talk about! So get yourselves wrapped up nice and snug in your virtue signal flag because as we get into the highs and lows and mediums of Black Panther.
