UFOs have been in the news lately. It seems like there's a lot of funky business going on in the sky. Tom Delonge's distracted and these otherworldly bastards think they can just hang out all willy nilly. Because of all of this activity, Dusty decided it's time to talk about one of his favorite movie genres: humans vs aliens. We start off with ALIEN, one of the OG inner circle hall of fame movies on the subject. 

But first, we talk about the Super Bowl, Andrew doing something stupid, and Dusty's review of the new AVATAR (spoiler alert: it was fine.)

We know. It's not "cool" to like Green Day. You're supposed to have pins and patches on your vest celebrating bands that *aren't* successful. They sold out by making music so good that everybody liked them. 

Now that that's out of the way, Dusty and Andrew think Green Day is a great band and they got together to discuss their history with the band and put together a list of 14 absolute true blue B A N G E R S.

In our first revisit into the world of professional wrestling of the year, Dusty finally gets his chance to try to convince Andrew that Big Van Vader was awesome. In the past, we have frequently encountered an older, fatter version of the Mastodon, so Dusty dug up some of his best work in the USto try to educate his ignorant turd of a friend. 

First, we discuss Dusty's football team losing and our parents' disciplinary tactics.

First, we talk about Dusty seeing The Whale with Brendan Fraser, and Andrew infuriates Dusty by revealing that he was gifted a free annual movie pass.

Long before Dana White and his rich friends bought the UFC, and even longer before Dana White was filmed slapping his wife and didn't get any punishment for it, Art Davie and Rorion Gracie had an idea. Eight fighters from different disciplines, coming together like gladiators to finally determine which martial art was the most effective. Most people didn't have any idea who would win, but most people hadn't encountered Gracie Jiu Jitsu. The first UFC was an unorganized, awkward showcase for an idea that would change combat sports forever.

The Snark Marks have decided to rebrand. No, we will not stop doing wrestling shows, we will just also be regularly doing non-wrestling shows. This podcast started because Dusty and Andrew love talking to each other, and we thought we could have even more fun on our podcast if we allowed ourselves to talk about more of the topics that we enjoy. So now, instead of a wrestling retrospective podcast, we consider ourselves simply a retrospective podcast. Expect shows on MMA, movies, comedians, professional wrestling and all kinds of other nonsense we find fascinating. We love this show and we are excited to broaden our horizons in 2023! 

After over 50 episodes in 2022, we got together to give out awards to the best, worst, and most memorable moments and people in wrestling that we have covered this year. Was it really the year of Flair? What was the worst tag team? (Spoiler alert: it was K-K-K-Kronik).
