How a WAR can affect a person and what are its consequences.

The short story "The Sniper" by Liam O' Flaherty is about a republican sniper who is fighting in a civil war. In the story, two men fight  with each other 

until the death of the enemy of the republican sniper. When the winner of the battle goes to look at the body of his enemy, he  was awestruck.
