Sk: Bolo februárové ráno, keď Marek, unavený profesor z univerzity, vystúpil z autobusu v malebnom meste Bojnice.
En: It was a February morning when Marek, a tired university professor, got off the bus in the picturesque town of Bojnice.

Sk: Vietor bol studený, cesty zasnežené a Marek sníval o teple krbu v penzióne, kde mal ostať.
En: The wind was cold, the roads were snowy, and Marek dreamed of the warmth of the fireplace in the guesthouse where he was to stay.

Sk: Medzi jeho plánmi bolo písanie výskumnej práce, ktorá sa už dlho vyhýbala dokončeniu.

Sk: Zuzana, plná nadšenia a túžby po novom dobrodružstve, dorazila do rovnakého penziónu.
