Cs: Sněhové vločky tichounce padaly z nebe a pokrývaly jižní Čechy bílou peřinou.
En: Snowflakes fell silently from the sky, covering South Bohemia with a white blanket.
Cs: Malá farma byla ukrytá mezi zasněženými kopci, a z komína venkovského domu stoupal tenký proužek kouře.
En: The small farm was hidden among snow-covered hills, and a thin wisp of smoke rose from the chimney of the country house.
Cs: V pokoji u krbu zpíval oheň svou tichou píseň, zatímco Vladimira zamyšleně hleděla na plameny.
En: In the room by the fireplace, the fire sang its quiet song while Vladimira gazed thoughtfully at the flames.
Cs: „Musíme jednat,“ řekl Zdenek klidným hlasem.
En: "We need to take action," said Zdenek in a calm voice.

Cs: Možná půjčku, nebo se pokusit prodat některé z tělovýchovných polí,“ navrhla Vladimira s nadějí.
En: Maybe a loan, or we could try to sell some of the pasture fields," suggested Vladimira with hope.
