SNV Special Interview: Wedge Workers Fight For Free Expression

In this special we speak with Nadia with Wedge Workers (https://www.instagram.com/wedgeworkers/) who are Co-op staff from both Wedge Lyndale (UFCW 1189) and Wedge Linden Hills (UFCW 663). Nadia, who works at the Lyndale location, where a recent picket was held, talks about the fight for freedom of expression at work. (A note: this picket was not a strike action.)
A new policy was created at the Wedge to target expression of solidarity with the Palestinian People and the call for a Free Palestine! But the ramifications of the policy could go further down the road of the significant restrictions to speech going on across American society under the Trump regime.
Workers are currently continuing to call for the community and Co-op Members to reach out to Co-op CEO Nick Seeberger to express support for the workers rights to free expression and in opposition to the new policy. (Note: Workers are not calling for any kind of boycott of the business at this time.)
