This week on Starting Out it’s comedian and all around awesome person, Jen Sakato! I’ve known Jen since I started doing standup as I used to watch her web series "ComInk" to learn about local comedians. Jen is a fantastic comedian, who is also married to another fantastic comedian Patrick Hakeem. We talk about that dynamic a lot. We also talk about bombing in front of an ex, and how coming up in the punk scene helped Jen navigate the open mic scene when she started. Jen will be part of a CASC (Canadian Association of Standup Comedians) compilation show recording alongside myself and Monty Scott May 24-29 at Absolute Comedy Toronto, so please come out and support that.
