  • Episode 59: DREAM TWEET STORIES, ROUND 3

In episode 59 of SO DREAMY, Rachel & Hannah share another round of "dream tweet stories", which are stories they created by stringing together unrelated #dream tweets from various different dreamers on Twitter.

They also kick off their August 2019 #dailydreamdrawings challenge and invite YOU to join in! (This episode ended up airing a few days after the challenge officially began on Aug 1, because Rachel was ill and unable to release the episode as scheduled. • Episode 58: A Dreamy Chat with Fran Heath

In episode 58 of SO DREAMY, Rachel & Hannah have the immense pleasure of talking to Fran Heath, a writer and artist from the Isle of Wight in the UK. They gush over her newest book (Unconscious Adventures: A Year of Daily Dream Drawings) and talk about the possible meanings of dreams, recurring dreams, methods for increasing dream recall, and more. Fran can be found on Twitter and Instagram @FranHeathWriter and on Facebook. Fran's website, where all her books and artwork can be found, is https://franheath.com/.

Some of Fran's works which we discussed:

    • Unconscious Adventures: A Year of Daily Dream Drawings
    • Dire-Ramas (also available on Etsy here!)
    • Pencil Lead
      • Fran's debut novel, Pencil Lead, is a contemporary, coming-of-age story about expectations that don't match real life.
    • How We Choose to Play
      • How We Choose to Play is a rhyming picture book about a brother and sister who seem to have nothing in common until their drawings magically show them otherwise. The story encourages readers of all ages to see beyond the gender stereotyping of toys and choose how to play for themselves.
    • Five Things I Can See (second novel, coming soon!)

  • Episode 57: Recurring Bus Ride, Spying on Nazis, and Tricky Toilets

In episode 57 of SO DREAMY, Rachel & Hannah cover a few great dream submissions: Matt's recurring bus ride dream, Cara's old-timey Nazi spy dream, and Erin's uncomfortable exposed toilet dream. They also touch on past breakups and mistakes, finding meaning in one's dreams, and consider yet another probably horrible business idea inspired by a dream: office toilet chairs.

They also share info about our next two episodes: In Ep 58 Fran Heath (@FranHeathWriter) will join us as a guest to talk about dreams and her recent book; and in Ep 59 we'll do round 3 of "Dream Tweet Stories" (please contribute your own dream tweet story before Saturday July 13, 2019, 9AM Central! Directions/details included at the end of this episode).

About So Dreamy

From the publisher's feed

SO DREAMY is a podcast (or better yet, an "earsnack"!) made BY people who love talking about dreams, FOR people who love talking about dreams. If you don't have someone in your life who LOVES to listen to your sleepy brain adventures and tell you about theirs, then this is the earsnack for you! If you do have someone in your life like that, then you're lucky, and this is still the earsnack for you! Rachel and Hannah will read or play audio clips of their and others' dreams and sleep walking/talking stories, and they might do some light armchair dream analysis (for which they are wildly unqualified!), but mostly their aim is just to have fun hearing and sharing sleepy brain tales!
