So Great Salvation Podcast S3E7 The Inheritance of the Kingdom Pt 7

Listen Later

The Promised Inheritance in the New Testament is absolutely tethered to the promise of entrance and rank into Christ's future Millennial Theocratic Reign on earth, Salvation is a free gift. It cant be gained, lost, OR VERIFIED) by our works.

But the inheritance of the Kingdom is absolutely conditioned upon our works through Christ and our obedience as adopted children (after salvation)

To understand that participating in the future millennial reign of Christ is an inheritance, is to make great strides in understanding soteriology (the study of salvaltion) and eschatology (the study of end times). The nuances of Old Testament revelation concerning "inheritance" then becomes our guide to clarity. The inheritance, also referred to as a prize, a crown, a reward, etc. (but conspicuously never referred to as a free unconditional gift) is ours to keep but unlike eternal salvation it is also ours to lose (see Esau and Reuben).#MotivatedByReward #SoGreatSalvationPodcast #SoGreatSalvationHebrews 12:6-86 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Proverbs 3:11My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction:Proverbs 13:24He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.2 Corinthians 5:10. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.Hebrews 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
