The "Kingdom of God/Heaven" is among the most misunderstood and abused terms in all of Christendom. Is it Heaven? Is it the Church? Is it some nebulous "Wherever God reigns"? Or could it be... could it possibly be the "kingdom" promised to and expected by all of Israel, the disciples, and all of early Christian history?
Must I be carried to the skiesOn flowery beds of ease,While others fought to win the prize,And sailed through bloody seas? And when the battle's overWe shall wear a crownIn the new Jerusalem.
In this series we explore the Biblical view that the PRIMARY meaning of these terms is that the KOH/KOH is the literal future eminent millennial reign of Christ and his obedient servants over the earth. The Jewish nation and the disciples and all of orthodox early Christianity believed, expected and hoped for Christ's return and subsequent joint-rule with his faithful. We discuss the "objections" and the verses that seem to indicate that the Kingdom is only spiritual and not also future/literal.
