Welcome to August. All month long we will be looking at Women In Horror.

We are kicking off the month by looking at the Neo Western Vampire film Near Dark from Oscar winning Director Kathryn Bigelow.

We discuss the films cast and characters, we get into the plot as well as some things this movie does differently other films. We also get into the overall feel of the film, the tone and what works and what doesn't. We talk about comparisons to Lost Boys and how both films dominated 1987.

We also briefly touch upon the aborted remake and why it thankfully fell apart.
