So This Fundamentalist Walks Into A Bar… / So This Confused Pastor Walks Into the Wrong Bar…
Nah, not really. But I’ve sometimes wondered what comes next in that joke, especially when human behavior (fundamentalist or otherwise) can be so ridiculous. This week in the Talky Bit I’m going to explore a parable that features some of the most typical religious posturing found anywhere in the Bible, snuggled right up next to it’s opposite. In my notes it’s called The Parable of the SBNR (spiritual but not religious) seeker and the Evangelical Pastor. All I’ll say about it now is that it doesn’t turn out like most folks think. Kids Table – here’s a note from Amy regarding supplies for this weeks craft: Parents and kids: please raid your recycling bin and bring a small plastic or glass bottle with lid (500ml or smaller) for the craft (if you have). -Amy
Location: PLEASE NOTE – We’re NOT at Creative Manitoba this weekend – we’re at the University of Winnipeg! Sheesh…

This week we’ll be meeting at the University of Winnipeg Club Room. It’s located on the 4th floor of Wesley Hall. That’s the castle-ish building that faces Portage Avenue on the main U of W campus (515 Portage Avenue).
I look forward to being together.
