So, What Do You Do?

The last episode of the series has us in discussion with a Civil Engineer. Our guest talks about why he first studied Engineering, his hopes for this future and the reality of the job he does on a day-to-day basis.

Today we are in conversation with a Video Game Programmer. He tells us about how he first became interested in computers, why he has always wanted to be programmer and the pleasure he gets from creating virtual worlds for gamers to play around in.

This week I have been talking to the owner of a corner shop. As a life-long shopkeeper, our guest talks about how he started in the business, the daily rigours of running an establishment, and gives advice to people thinking about joining this line of work. Forgive the sound quality of this episode, recording on location means that the electric buzz of the drinks fridges have somewhat interrupted the conversation, as has our guest pausing to sell his wares to customers.

In her third venture in this business we talk about how she got started, what led to her third shop in 15 years of self-employment and how the changing times are constantly making her think one step ahead of the curve.Forgive us once again, as we recorded this during the working day, so there were customers coming into the shop and interrupting the conversation from time to time.
