Today is Juneteenth, formerly a state holiday in Texas, and made a national holiday by Joe Biden. Its CTA is to celebrate the final freeing of the slaves. However, that's not exactly what happened on June 19th, 1865, now is it? I explored its historical significance and the need to dig deeper into such topics.
