This episode is intended as an introduction to my social enterprise. And to give the listener some more details about me.
How much is lived experience worth? A lot. However, only when lived experience can be communicated in such a way, that is understandable to all.
Co-production what is it? Can a society be empowered from it?
I want to say thank you to everyone who has taken the opportunity to listen to my podcast.
Why are there is much inequality in society? My aim this month was to focus on the international day of the girl. Unfortunately, I was unable to find anyone to come on and talk about this issue. Therefore the focus was mainly on different minds, which is a Scottish Government campaign to highlight the effects of autism.
For more info on different minds see: https://differentminds.scot/
What is Build Back Better? The problem is society does not know. Networked communities sit around a table and talk to each other, however, never to "other". They are too different, what would they know? A lot. The problem is "street further" is a social norm within social science.
This podcast is only, my second, I hope I am learning.
This pod concludes yesterdays podcast.
However, listen to the end you may hear a track by The TOI who are missing in action ;)
The main thing the listener should understand about this first podcast is that it focuses on explaining why I called the podcast/blog “So wrong it is write”
I also talk in some detail about my own experiences of having a childhood brain tumour and stroke and how I have come to embrace the label disabled as opposed to removing the tag.
I also introduce my theory of the “societal triangle” and explain why this theory-informed my chosen podcast/blog name.
