When Ashley Skolrud was in high school, her classmates predicted she would become an author. Her love of storytelling has shaped her entire life, starting with handwritten stories she wrote in her school's cafeteria which eventually led to her getting an MFA in Creative Writing from Lindenwood University. Her love of magic and fairy tales has inspired all of her writings, and she longs to share her love of fantasy with everyone who crosses her path. When she's not creating her own worlds, she's teaching teenagers to fall in love with books as an English teacher.

KG Heath is a fantasy, horror, and sci-fi author from England. He is also the host of Midnight Archive, an anthology podcast highlighting the works of indie and trad-pub authors, in the format of narrated sample chapters and short stories. With the podcast, he is building a place for up and coming authors to have a space to highlight their work – just like the pulp magazines of the 70s and 80s.
His debut novel, The Sleeper will be coming out later this year and is Book 1 of the Spire Saga. It is a dark portal fantasy based in his fictional universe of Terefir. Blending psychological horror with epic fantasy, KG Heath is building a unique universe for you to explore. But he’s not stopping there, with a dragon rider series, a post-apocalyptic western series, and a sci-fi novel based on Mars.

Welcome back to So You're an Author! Today's guest is S.F Henne.

S.F Henne was born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia, she swapped beaches for the ski slopes of Whistler, B.C and started her adventure. Now residing in Washington State with her husband and daughter, she embarked on the next part of her story: telling the tales that have been rattling around her head for years.
Brought up watching Star Wars and playing video games she was too young for, it was not until all ill-fated Battlestar Galactic episode that annoyed Sarah and her sister enough to make them want to write their own stories. But it was not until Sarah was trapped at home with a newborn and a global pandemic that she finally decided write them down. And so the Rune-Forged Warriors were born.

Then along came the Inkfort Publishing Derby in June 2023 and turned her life upside-down. Given a cover, title, and penname, Sarah spent the next four months as Tara Davis writing "Witch of the Lunar Order" not once, but twice. While the cover was not her normal genre it stuck with her and one night Nyssa popped into her head. A young witch with problematic magic who discovers a love for baking. Once Nyssa started telling her story, she never stopped. And before Sarah was even assigned the cover, a sprawling world and an idea for a full Urban Fantasy series had been created.
