Even though we may share having a disability in common, it's the intersections of our identities that can also inform how we experience disability, the obstacles we face and how we see ourselves and our identity. In this episode, Soph and Tam share some of their intersecting identities and how their parents shaped their experiences of disability.

In episode 9, Soph and Tam explore how professionalism is usually just disguised ableism. What even is professionalism? The obligations on us to be "professional" and how this impacts our ability to work and get hired. But not just at work, in school, in dating and in life in general, we have the obligations of professionalism placed on us. We're held to standards we can't meet and judged harshly for not meeting them. But how does our need for regular breaks or non-standard working hours and conditions impact our ability to perform in life? Spoiler alert: it doesn't!

In this episode, Soph and Tam explore how those living with disabilities and our experiences are still very much invisible. They look at medical gaslighting, gaslighting generally and the way people without disabilities can be dismissive of our experiences. Soph and Tam also look at how disability is often viewed as something that only happens to "old people".

In episode 4, Soph and Tam explore their lived experiences of dating with a disability. They explore how talking about their disabilities helped enhance their dating experiences and the ableism we have to face on dating apps today. TLDR we love the BDE of loving someone for who they are, including their disabilities!
In this episode, Soph and Tam explore identity. They both share insights into the deeply personal journeys they took to get to their arrival at their different ways of identifying with their disabilities. This exploration at times touches on the ableism they encountered along the way and how this lead them to the belief that people should be respected in how they identify. Soph and Tam want their audience to feel comfortable in how they identify and to understand the importance of holding respect for how people identify.
