In order to be able to use high current appliances, like powered pressure cookers, microwaves, and yes even a dish washer, you will need at least 1,500 watts of incoming solar from solar panels , a Charge controller that can handle that amount of current, and a batter bank using AGMs or Lithium type batteries, You can not use flooded cells indoors as they are a safety hazard.

This was the set up we had before losing a great deal of it during the time we had to move out.

we do have an emergency generator that can power everything if we need it during a full blown emergency.
