Sid is an old friend and one I shared some of my drinking evenings with many moons ago. It's lovely to hear how he has successfully turned his life around. Becky began drinking a little later in life with college laying the foundations that told her she was more confident with booze. The sudden death of her brother left her drinking to numb the pain and her drinking became more frequent and began to impact her life considerably.

It was when she was looking to lose a little weight that she began to educate herself on the effects of alcohol on the body and mind, and as a result, became alcohol free, gaining way more than she ever could have expected. Becky can now be found helping others as the Sober Serenity Coach

Drinking was a way to mask anxiety developed through trauma at an early age. In her relationships, drinking was a central fixture until a fall down the stairs filled her with shame and planted the seed and dawning realization that continuing to drink was really no longer an option for her.

Elisa's sobriety has taken her from two fractured skulls to the three peaks, and she's giddy with excitement as she talks to her about her hopes for her future.

Growing up with an alcoholic father she adored Chloe sadly ended up becoming his carer, and the irony of using alcohol as her choice of stress relief led her to stop drinking and to create a whole new self.
