Dominique, from the Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/uniquepivot/ is my guest today on Sober Gratitudes. In 2010, Dominque needed surgery to address an incredibly painful medical condition. Post-surgery, doctors prescribed her with a combination of medications to help with the pain and in 4 years, she found herself addicted, obsessively pill counting and even stealing pills from her sick relative. The shame of being found out almost cost her her life due to an accidental overdose. Not long after, she decided to reach out for help.

Christopher, a former college co-ed of mine from Allegheny College, has 13 years sobriety after many attempts to get clean and sober. His sober date is 5/28/10. Before getting sober he came out as Gay and found a community there. It would be years before he finally quit drugs and alcohol. Since getting sober his life has had a complete transformation.
