Today we're going to have an episode that will give you American English advice.
When I say American English, I mean, I mean Canada and the United States. So this episode is about specifically those places, and the English that you would hear there.
This is to give an English student, traveler on vacation or college student studying abroad more information to prepare you to go visit America or Canada.
Today's episode is for intermediate and advanced English listeners.
So if your skill in English is medium, or high, intermediate, or high, this is going to be a very interesting episode for you.
Let's talk about some tips that I have that can improve your English so you speak clearer American English.

Today’s episode deals with real American culture. This episode is for English students at an intermediate or advanced level of English. When you see pop culture images of America, you get things like the shows “Friends”, “Gossip Girl”, and “Grey's Anatomy”. Let's just call that “TV America”. However, there is another side of America. Let's call it “not TV America”. I'm sure that you studied English and you want to travel in the future. However, when you go to America, there are two stages that will happen to you. The first stage is you will feel excited because you are in the United States. Look at all of these different people. They're all speaking English! In the second stage, you will start to miss how convenient Japan was for you and want to go back. This episode talks about how to get past that, and learn how to enjoy your time in America and have fun speaking English and making new friends.

In today’s episode, I'm going to talk about American culture. I'm going to give you some tips, and my advice for traveling to America to improve your English. I want to talk about six apps you need on your smartphone. I talked about something similar in episode #014, “5 Apps Every Eikaiwa Students Needs”, but in this episode, I am talking about before you travel to America. This episode is for intermediate to advanced English learners. I will use basic English in this episode, but if you don't understand, please go to our website, or listen to this podcast again, at slow speed. I am very experienced at talking about social English, American culture, and communication. I want you to have an easy travel week or study semester in America. If you're studying abroad, I want you to know what six apps will help you out the most as a Japanese person traveling to America for the first time. So please enjoy this episode! Please listen carefully!

Today, we are going to have a discussion,we're going to talk about Google Translate mistakes made by actual real Japanese people just like you. These are the mistakes that they typed in Japanese, but came out wrong in English. If you are an intermediate to advanced learner, this will be a good experience for you. The topic is, “ How I went to a new bar and was drunk when I got there”. In this episode, we're going to have three parts. First, I will say the mistake, the wrong English from Google translate that the Japanese person entered, then I will give you in part two, the correct English version. Then in part three, I will give you some advice or some information to help you learn more about English with this specific passage from Google Translate. I will also say the corrected English version one more time in “fast English”. “Fast English” is what I would call normal speed. Please listen carefully.
