In this series we’ll be talking to people delivering social impact projects and people who will benefit from them in West Cumbria and Warrington.
In this first episode we set the scene for our social impact work, talking to our owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and setting out our new approach to social impact.
We also discuss our £2.2 million investment in the Transforming West Cumbria programme, and the needs and challenges in the community that the programme will help to address.
Our guests today include:
Andrew van der Lem, Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs at the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority
Andy Beeforth OBE, Chief Executive at Cumbria Community Foundation
Jamie Reed, Head of Corporate Affairs, Sellafield Ltd
Suzanne Wilson, Research Fellow in Social Inclusion and Community Engagement, University of Central Lancashire
Cllr Emma Williams, Cumbria County Council
