What's your favorite scary movie?
That's right, the Socially Distanced Podcast is immersing itself fully into spooky season by watching the 1996 classic, Scream!
Now why choose a 28-year-old movie to watch this October? Well, for obvious reasons it's one of the most popular horror films of the last 30 years, it's a very relevant franchise, and like ... it's Halloween. But there is one other thing that play here -- Pop Break's editor-in-chief Bill Bodkin has never seen the movie, and he was a teenager when it came out!
Socially Distanced regular guest Ben Murchison is in the host chair this week as he is joined by Bill Bodkin, Amanda Rivas and Scream superfan (and producer on the film Mutilator 2) Ann Hale.
The crew is super-stressed as they wonder if Bill actually likes the movies and you can hear through most of the show! On pod hear about how Ann has multiple rooms in her home dedicated to Scream, the importance of Drew Barrymore to this film, the cultural moment that Scream captured, how it changed the teen market for film and TV, the best kills, the biggest laughs, and of course -- what their favorite scary movies truly are.
