  • 183. Doctor Who Disney Plus Trailer Reaction + Who is the Best Doctor!?!

Allonsy, time lords and ladies! The Socially Distanced Podcast is back and we're talking about all things Doctor Who! Pop Break Editor-in-Chief Bill Bodkin is in the host chair as he's joined by "The Human Star Wars Encyclopedia" Amanda Rivas, Pop Break's Podcast Director Alex Marcus, "The Magical Lad" Tyler McCarthy (of the Not Couple Goals Podcast) and Randy Allain -- who'll be joining Pop Break as a part of the Police anthology podcast 'Every Pod You Cast' which premieres in 2024.

  • 182: Taylor Swift World Domination, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), & Loki Blows Up Reality?!? (Loki S2E4)

Socially Distanced (Taylor's Version) returns and there's so much to talk about. Bill Bodkin is in the host chair and is joined (as always) by "The Human Star Wars Encyclopedia" Amanda '1989' Rivas and Pop Break's Podcast Director Alex 'We're Never Ever Getting Back Together" Marcus.

Bill, Amanda and Alex also talk at length about Loki Episode 4, 'The Heart of the TVA.' This was originally going to be a "mid-season report" but since they literally hit record on the episode minutes after the episode finished, they had to talk about this game changer. • 181. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Halloween Special + Netflix Prices Skyrocket

It's time for the annual Socially Distanced Halloween Episode! This spooky season we're going to talk about all things Buffy the Vampire Slayer -- the TV series, not the Kristy Swanson movie (although that does get brought up!)

We've assembled our own version of the Scooby gang to discuss the iconic series. Pop Break's editor-in-chief Bill Bodkin is in the host seat and is joined by co-host "The Human Star Wars Encyclopedia" Amanda Rivas and special guests "The Commander of Our Hearts" Ben Murchison, Allie Nelson of the Not Couple Goals Podcast and Pop Break Original (and producer of Mutilator 2) Ann Hale.

The gang discuss their history with Buffy and why the show means so much to all of them. They discuss their favorite episodes, the characters they hated the most, the best member of Buffy's team, the most heartbreaking episode and in honor of Allie -- the character we thirst(ed) for the most. They then do a review of the seminal Buffy episode "Hush" and debate whether the episode still holds up, how creepy the Gentlemen are and if this is the definitive Buffy episode.

In the pre-game segment they discuss Netflix's decision to raise rates again. They wonder if this is all a ploy to drive people to their ad supported tier or is it hubris by the company because it seems that they've been bulletproof to crackdowns and rate increases. They also talk about the lack of content coming Netflix's way, the end of way too many tentpole series and the irony of their record stock price but their issues with SAG-AFTRA's demands.

  • 178. Ahsoka S1E7 REVIEW + WGA's New Contract & Ahsoka Finale Theories!

Socially Distanced returns to a galaxy far, far away as they review Ahsoka Part 7 'Dreams and Madness.'

"The Human Star Wars Encyclopedia" Amanda Rivas steps into the pergill's mouth with Bill Bodkin and the "Prince of Penultimate" Alex Marcus as they discuss this exciting, but head scratching episode. They marvel over the use of C3P0, Lars Mikkelsen's performance as Grand Admiral Thrawn, the evolution of Ahsoka as a Jedi and a character the character of Sabine and what lies in the future for the finale. However, all is not perfect as they bring up their issues with Baylin's "quest," the lack of emotional wallop between Sabine and Ezra and the faulty logic in some of the choices made in the episode.

In the pre-game segment they discuss the cessation of the strike between the WGA and AMPTP this past week and how it was a major W for writers. They then discuss if the SAG-AFTRA strike will resolve as quickly and if the strikes will lead to a mad rush for content to be created.
