Eric Bachmann started his music career playing with the indie rock quartet Archers of Loaf in the early nineties and continued on with his solo project, then band Crooked Fingers. Archers of Loaf have recently reunited to tour many throughout 2011 while Crooked Fingers will release a new album in the fall of this year.

Xan McCurdy of Cake discusses the process of recording the band's most recent album Showroom of Compassion which was released in January 2011 and debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. We discuss the process of writing and recording the record as well as his thoughts on the state of the recording industry.
