Sofa Stories episodes
- Episode 6. Samia Longchambon joins Nick and Oli On The Sofa.
Send us Fan Mail
Our dear friend Samia Longchambon joined us on the sofa for an inspiring and uplifting conversation.
We spoke about everything from Samia’s 24 years in Coronation Street right through to the tools she has learned to combat any potential negativity, including CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and reflexology.
Samia shared her own story, reflecting back to some pivotal moments such as when her star talent was initially spotted in a Kwik Save supermarket and the day she found out about an opportunity to feature in the classic movie “There’s Only One Jimmy Grimble”.
Samia also speaks of her dreams of one day opening her own tea room, how she felt going in to “uncharted territories” when joining shows ‘Cooking With The Stars’ and ‘Dancing On Ice’ as a contestant, re the latter of course we heard all about when she first met her husband Sylvain Longchambon.
Without further ado, get yourself a cup of tea and join us ON THE SOFA. 🛋️
Let’s get into it.

Join us on the Ruxley Sofa as we pause and reflect on previous episodes and their impact on our listeners, in particular the last episode where Oli quoted Jack Canfield’s “Ready, Fire, Aim” with sound issues on this exact podcast as a great analogy.
Nick and Oli share their own stories of going’s on this week including bouncing back from some low moments, teasing a mystery guest, (listen to see if you can guess ;) sharing our excitement for our upcoming guests and creating an energy frenzy you could run a good 5K to.

In this episode we reflected back on our first few episodes and paid homage to feedback we’ve received from our lovely loyal listeners - both great and constructive.
We’ve corrected the audio issues and we are excited to continue taking you on a journey of self growth and discovery of awesomeness, bringing guests on the sofa who inspire us because they aren’t afraid of stepping out of their comfort zone and trying new, exciting and perhaps scary things.
If you haven’t listened to an episode of The Sofa Stories Podcast yet, in my opinion this would be a really good place to start, you’ll get a feel for me and Nick, our flow, our thirst for curiosity and uncovering thought provoking stories.
Like this episode you’ll also hear us talk openly about our lives away from the sofa, our own challenges, experiences and what we’ve been up to, a behind the scenes feel, therapeutic for us and hopefully interesting for you!
Give us a listen if you can, I would genuinely really appreciate hearing your thoughts if you do. 🙏🏼Follow @the_sofastories_podcast on Instagram.
