Soft Shoulder

Let's play some games !

Game 1: Stacey tests Alex on if a song is a) Grand Funk Railroad and b) an American Band ... We learn a lot.

Game 2: Alex bought David Foster's Rolodex from the 80's on the Darkweb, problem is, it's all Nicknames. Can these 2 jabronies play it cool and find out who they're talking to ? Hopefully this list of numbers is worth the Dogecoin.

Safe and easy middle of the road rock with a penchant to kind of sound like everyone else, that's America! Stacey and Alex sit down to talk about all sorts of stuff and kind of stay on track, find out the reason David Bowie kept a jar of pee in his fridge, who Hal Blaine is, Stacey's song about cats toe beans and other super America related things.

ENJOY!

NEW FRIENDS! NEW FRIENDS!

We met Skinner through here, when she felt she had to speak up about her love for Genesis and everyone surrounding their weird universe,  and you know what? We're here for it! We still don't know that much about Skinner, but (!!!) we're definitely going to have her back and learn more as time goes on.

Here's to new friends and motown Philly being back again !

So, what can't we say about Stevie Winwood ? He's been in bands since the age of 8 and really never stopped making music since. From The Spencer Davis group to Steve's solo career and as much in between as we could cram. We also find on this episode, our true feelings for Eric Clapton as well as the important question, what happened to Muff?

Full disclosure, the audio is a little off on this one. We're learning as we go everyone ! And what more does anyone enjoy than learning along ? We've really stepped it up on Episode 6 going forward.

Join Alex and Stacey fresh off their first live stream as they dip a toe in to the world that is Genesis. What a fun and wacky group of dudes.

Full discretion, the audio is a little off and we also had a special guest "refrigerator hum" come visit, but hey! it's a bonus episode and a pretty long one at that.

Stacey introduces all of you (and Alex) to the Queen of the whistle register and overall beautiful human Minnie Riperton. What an absolute treat to be able to discuss her short, but so amazing career through music. There's a lot of surprises in this one.

Our Minnie Riperton spotify playlist can be found HERE.

Famed underground duo Tall & Gross sit down and talk about how live music used to exist, working at a record shop (which also used to exist), forced friendship and the secret box office they used to work at. Join Stacey and Jordan on a little trip down memory lane.

Hey everyone, guess what? WE LOVE Daryl Hall and John Oates! We sit down and talk gang fights, century home restoration, stock car racing and we do it all in typical Philly Fashion. Also we debut our first game "Who's at Daryl's House"

This weeks spotify playlist is a BANGER! Find it HERE.

Trigger Warning: This episode contains descriptions of gun violence.

Guess what? We don't really like Chicago that much, but sometimes we do, we guess. We're sorry but also not sorry.
