Níor imigh an smaoineamh uainn, agus mar sin, thosaigh an turas.
Plantaíodh an smaoineamh beag mar shíol, agus de réir mar a roinn muid é le daoine eile agus guíomar, thosaigh Dia ag múnlú plean oibre as.
Bhí Gaeilge ag Paddy, an fear a thug an t-aistriúchán dúinn, agus mhothaíomar gur cheart dúinn dul i mbun taifeadta agus féachaint cad a thiocfadh as.
Agus mar sin rugadh ‘BRIATHAR DÉ’, a chiallaíonn go litriúil ‘Focal beo, gníomhach Dé’.
Tá Focal Dé fíor-bheo sa lá atá inniu ann agus tugann sé a sholas agus a ghrá isteach inár saol nuair a ghlacaimid leis.
Guímid go dtabharfaidh a Fhocal agus a Bheatha ord agus síocháin isteach i do shaol inniu agus tú ag éisteacht leis na taifeadtaí seo.

It all started when we were given a translation of the Gospel of St Mark in Gaelic…
“Wouldn’t it be interesting and exciting”, we thought, “to hear this part of the Bible being read in the ancient language of the land…”
The idea didn’t go away, and so the journey began.
The tiny thought was planted like a seed, and as we shared it with others and prayed, God began to form it into a possible working plan.
Paddy, who had given us the translation, also spoke Gaelic, and we felt we should set out and start to record it and see what would happen.
And so was born ‘BRIATHAR DE’ which literally means ‘the living, active Word of God’.
God’s Word truly is alive today and brings His light and love into our lives as we receive it.
