The early church seized upon Jesus’ table-fellowship practice as a way to embody a new type of humanity. One where all people are welcomed as equals. One of our stated values at Sojourn is to be an anti-Racist church. And yet, we haven’t always lived up to that well, and we have a long way to go still. After the events of last week, Pastors Kate & Colby wanted to designate our service Sunday to talk about anti-racist work, as well as highlight and elevate some of the black voices we are following and learning from.
