I recently purchased The Crypts of Azarumme from The Arcane Library. I really enjoyed the minimalist approach to dungeon master prep and my players had a great time playing this one shot. I played over 2 hours and found that this adventure will take another session to resolve. This is part 1 of 4 parts. In all of the great stories, the character's relationship with their fellowship involves dynamics. This means the relationship doesn't stay the same, but changes over time and events. It can be easy in Dungeons and Dragons to assume each character gets along with the others in the party, but what if you want to take that roleplay to another level?  This model gives you a simple four part framework to use between players and DM so that everyone can enjoy a more intense roleplay experience!

The Burning Beacon concludes as the sojourners aid Moonglow, the angel to restore the beacon. After helping the unicorn restore his memories, the sojourners learn that Moonglow and Talos were once in league in the Order of the Balance, along with Zariel, the archduchess of Avernus.

The combat continues! The sojourners find themselves dodging demon claws and lava swells as they set out to recharge the Burning Beacon. Upon ensuring success, they would tip the balance in the fiendish Blood War. Upon meeting Moonglow, a holy angel, they learn much about this conflict and are posed with more problematic intrigue!

Safe from Fort Knucklebone for now, the sojourners plan to follow through with the quest to restore the Burning Beacon "Demon Zapper". After clearing up the weather, they arrive to find that a platoon of devils arrived earlier and were overcome by the hordes of demons from the Abyss. With the beacon toppled and spawns of fiends roaming about, they found no other solution but to charge headlong into the fray. This is part 1 of 2.
