[Solo Sesh] Don't Call It a Comeback: SLFB is Back & Better than Ever

Listen Later

Do you seek validation from your achievements? When you accomplish a goal do you take a moment to enjoy it or are you already on to the next one?

In today’s solo sesh, Chrystal returns to talk about the imposter syndrome that many women face and the danger of tying self-worth to external accomplishments. So many of us get stuck on a hamster wheel of never-ending goal-setting and never give ourselves credit when we actually reach them. Instead, we focus only on our failures, no matter how small.

We are worthy simply by existing. It’s important to be present in each achievement before moving on to the next one, and we have to remember that none of those achievements define who we are.

Quotes:

• “The real work–if we really, really want to shift and change and transform–has to be done through the subconscious.” (2:13-2:20 | Chrystal)

• “I want you to walk away from every episode and be like,’That was cool,’ or ‘Wow, I learned something’ or ‘What a way to think about that, I want to know more, I want to go deeper.’ So that's the goal.” (5:03-5:14 | Chrystal)

• “It's so easy to tie our worth to accomplishments. But that's not where our worth comes from. Our worth is just there, it just is. We are born. We are worthy. Done. Period. The end. (16:03-16:14 | Chrystal) SM Quote

• “I'm living my life by design. And by default, I set things up this way.” (17:24-17:29 | Chrystal)
