Simply Business LLC, the leading digital insurance marketplace for small businesses just released the Power of One 2025 Solopreneur Report offering insights into America's one person business owners and their sentiments. Flexibility and autonomy remain key motivators, yet personal sacrifices are common. 42% say they've given up time with family and friends, and over one third, 34% have considered giving up on their business due to financial stress or emotional burnout. Nearly half have expressed a month or more without income, and the majority 69% have less than six months of savings or no safety net at all. 58% feel financially secure about their businesses and optimism runs high with the majority. 76% are confident their businesses will grow in the next year, and nearly 80% are optimistic about the future of their businesses. In fact, 72% list growing revenue or sales as their top goal.
