On November 12th, 1984, 20-year-old Southern Methodist University student Angela Samota spent the night out with friends before visiting her boyfriend, Ben McCall, and returning home. Angela called Ben to let him know there was a man in her house who needed to use the bathroom and her phone. That was the last time anyone would ever hear from Angela. Worried, Ben drove to her house and called police, only for them to discover Angela had been raped and stabbed 19 times. With very little evidence and one main suspect they were unable to connect, police would let the case go cold until Angela’s college roommate ,Sheila Wysocki, decided to take matters into her own hands.
