Those are the words of Jesus 2000 years ago and to this day they ring true. He is building His church and we get to be the hands putting the bricks in place.

The moment God gives us the things we begged him for, we begin to complain that it wasn’t exactly what we wanted. Ouch. In Philippians 2, Paul talks about how Jesus never complained or grumbled, even when he had every right to.

What you feed grows and what you starve shrinks. A conversation about spiritual health and what it looks like practically to feed our Spirit and starve the flesh.

What if people pleasing is actually selfishness masquerading as kindness? Paul says we are called to be "like minded" with Jesus. He didn’t claim special privileges. Instead, he lived a selfless, obedient life. Always choosing to put others first—to be the best friend they'd ever known.
