  • narcissism vs self awareness | ft. Luke Spivey
Talking to a real rad human today for my first guest podcast episode ever! Luke and I have had some amazing talks that led to me asking him to come on and have a candid conversation about his journey with self awareness. We talk a lot about narcissism, so I just want to be clear, neither of us are doctors and we are not diagnosing anyone with NPD. we understand this term is incredibly overused, which is why Luke wanted to shed some light.
Let us know your thoughts! I would love to make this a loving and open discussion ❤️

  • Deepening Affirmations | quick exercise
If you don’t already know this about me, I use a manifestation journal called project 369 that has greatly helped alter my life for the better. I was doing my daily manifestation and realized that I’ve used affirming words that are just simply that… words. So I went a couple steps deeper and it was a beautiful little moment that I wanted to share in case it’s a helpful exercise for anyone else! Let me know your experience with it, if you decide to try it out :) it’s probably not original material, but just came to me today. xx Alax

  • Leaning into discomfort

Hi! It’s been a while and I’m finally ready to share some nuggets of wisdom and struggle. In this podcast I’ll be candidly speaking about leaning into discomfort and how simple but powerful that experince truly is. Curiosity is a buzzword lately, and I’m breaking down my life to give some hope + courage if you’re a bit stuck, or a lot stuck, in the spin cycle. Hoping you gain some little seeds planted! Let me know in the comments your thoughts and what you’d like to hear more of in the future! Thanks for listening xx Alaxandra

  • every road is a brand new adventure
Hey!! Thanks for listening. It’s been a while!! This episode is about every road being a brand new adventure that we have never traveled. Even if it feels familiar- whether it’s a person, place, experience, opportunity. Giving every single new road a brand new chance to show it selves to us and open us up, created more and more love and opportunity to see and learn something different. Feeling the fear through these experiences and doing it anyway is the key! Effort is everything for the outcome. And being attached to what the outcome will be, is a hindrance to where we are headed. Make small efforts consistently and one day you’ll wake up and realize, “wow everything is different”. Let me know what you think about this episode!!

  • Feelings are meant to be FELT

In this episode I touch on some relatable topics like imposter syndrome, gym anxiety + how it’s been counterproductive for me to try to figure out my feelings.

  • Resentment + Forgiveness | an opportunity for freedom TW

*TW: brief mention of trauma/abuse* This episode is all about why forgiveness isn’t an “okay” for what people have done and why forgiveness is different than building trust.

Forgiveness is a choice. Building trust is a practice.

Plus some talks about components of relationships :)

Leave a comment and let me know if this was helpful and what you’d like me to cover in the future xx Alax

At 39:15, I explain my Resentment + forgiveness exercise (below)

    1. Write 2-3 people down that you’re resentful at (or however many you want!) Could be an old or new resentment, discomfort, pain, etc. Whatever is heaviest in your heart right now

    2. This next step has 5 parts. write everything out as if they’re talking directly to the person in a letter (you’re not going to be sharing this with them)

    A. “Dear _____, I’ve realized that I have a resentment and I haven’t been able to forgive you for it. I can see that if I want to be free, I need to let you know something important. B. Here’s what you did that caused anger/sadness/trauma/pain/grief/abuse _____ (go into detail + get down to the deepest part of whatever emotions you are feeling)C. Here’s what I did _____ . I can see that these actions may have caused you to feel ______D. The lessons you taught me through this experience were _______E. Though this experience was challenging for me, I realize my world has become very small from holding on. I can see now that everything was divinely timed for me to learn and grow. Your timing in my life was perfect, though painful, and I now choose to see it as a gift. I realize that in order to truly forgive myself and to be free, I need to forgive you, too. And even though it doesn’t make what you did okay, I can let go of this story and instead thank you for all the ways you served a purpose for me to become the beautiful, courageous woman I am today. So, thank you. I forgive you. I forgive me. I let go. I wish you well.”

I didn’t say this in the podcast but meant to…If you want, you can read these letters out loud to a trusted and unrelated person to the one you’re writing about. Making sure you choose a neutral person in this situation, is really important so that you don’t cause them harm in the process of your work. If you don’t feel ready for that, then you can do this by yourself and do some sort of ritual that feels right, to complete the work. I personally love burning the letter.

Either way, I do recommend having support, but meet yourself where you’re at ❤️

  • BOUNDARIES | why they’re kind + loving

Oooooweeee! Second podcast and I’m more nervous than the first. This episode is all about boundaries + why they’re not just kind, but loving.

I’ll talk about what I used to think boundaries were (a protective fortress) and what they really are for me now (pure freedom + connection). And ends with how boundaries is basically a niching down process of the authentic self.

The book I referenced is called ‘Boundaries’ by Dr Henry Cloud + Dr John Townsend.

Also mentioned that I work 1:1 with clients on their healing journey. Email me for more info: [email protected] Really hope you enjoy! Don’t forget to subscribe on Spotify and share your fav episodes with your loved ones!

  • Ep 1: Hi I’m alaxandra | a dynamic intro
Wow! I cannot believe I’m finally doing this. Phew. I decided TODAY is the day to start this. So I started recording with absolutely no idea what I was going to say. Still have no idea what I said! But for the most part I covered what to expect with this podcast (hint: if you came for a niche, don’t) hah! And I dove headfirst into one tiny layer of my healing journey thus far. Addiction to chaos… addiction to spiritual and emotional healing, and how I’m practicing differently now. Hope you enjoy! Leave a comment xx Alaxandra (also huge shout: a lot of what is talked about here is inspired by the teachings of my coach Eric Uresk, my past coach Niki Van, my beautiful friends Azimah, my 2 Nikkis, Renee, Marie, my beautiful mama & so many more incredible humans. Love you all dearly. You’ve all been a healing part of this journey)
