  • Episode 9 - QAnon, Cults & Chill

Join us this week as Victoria & Ashley discuss two of their favorite "C" words... cults and conspiracies. We watch & review "Martha Marcy May Marlene", a movie where Elizabeth Olsen plays a woman who escapes a cult after 2 years and goes to live with her sister, played by Sarah Paulson. We chat about the most notorious cults and what makes someone a good cult leader vs a good cult follower, because really anyone can join a cult TBH. Plus we discuss how cults can be compared to religion and what may be the reason behind that comparison. We're also talking about the relatively new conspiracy group, QAnon, with a growing cult-like following that has been making recent news headlines. ***We do want to issue a warning that many of the topics related to cults & conspiracy groups can be triggering for listeners. Please only listen at your own discretion.***

  • Episode 6 - Manifesting Queens

This week Victoria & Ashley start off by discussing what makes people have to finish everything we start vs not continuing something we aren't interested in.  The main question this week is "wtf is manifesting".  We talk about our own personal experiences with manifestation and how we use the law of attraction in our daily lives to lead the lives we want. We also discuss hating phone calls, not knowing phone numbers and refusing to turn on our cameras during online meetings.

  • Episode 5 - Nostalgic AF

This week join us as we feel nostalgic about pretty much everything 90s and even our pre-pandemic lives. Ashley takes an actual drive down memory lane where she shares some of her very literal childhood soccer team names and is able to remember the lyrics to tv shows from our past which impresses Victoria. The past few weeks, Victoria's been sick with a mystery illness (apologies in advance for the annoying cough this week) after being tested for Covid AGAIN and getting negative test results AGAIN which is making her miss her life before the pandemic even more than before. We also explain the importance of Laguna Beach as the first realty tv show created for teens and the influence it had on our generation. It might be our 2020 exhaustion or a side affect of Victoria's medicine but we also can't say an outro to save our lives... there's never a right time to say goodbye!

  • Episode 4 - WTF is cancel culture?

This week Ashley & Victoria have a lot to catch up on after a brief winter break starting with a handful of recommended shows and books. Later we break down the new phenomenon known as "cancel culture" and discuss how being anonymous on the internet led to the concept of cancelling or calling out people for almost any reason.  We discuss the potential negative impact of going viral or becoming internet famous in 2020, trying to meet unrealistic expectations and public apologies. We also share some stories like the time we manifested 5th row seats at a Jonas Brothers concert and our trip to Saddle Ranch back when everyone's favorite Youtuber was a regular there.

They also get into their career experiences and how certain choices led them to where they are today. Nothing is off the table during this honest discussion about having to decide between following your passion instead of doing what society tells us to do including quitting jobs (sometimes not so successfully), getting fired and knowing when to say enough is enough.
